Sixties Stripes

I'm not really into Christmas shopping or Christmas sales, but I did make a point to go to my favourite Salvation Army's Christmas Sale last Friday evening. A sale at an op shop is my kind of sale. For $9.50 I got the dress and bangle I'm wearing below and two tops.

The dress is modern but it looks really 60's. I took the hem up about an inch because the proportions just looked slightly wrong with it longer.

Pockets!

Dress: Op shopped
Bangle: Op shopped
Tights: Kmart
Shoes: Op shopped

  8. Damn, what a perfect dress. I love the contrasting stripe direction thingy.

Also I left a comment on an earlier post - or thought I did but just went back and maybe it never went through? - but you won the Soapwalla deodorant in my giveaway thing the other week. I guess now that it's so close to me coming to Christchurch I can just give it to you when we hang out?

    1. I love the way the stripes on the pocket are placed the opposite way too.
It must not have come through because it's not in my spam. Stupid blogger. Yeah, that sounds great.

  9. The dress has such a cool mod vibe; you did the right thing by taking it up a smidge, you've got fab legs and they deserve an outing! xxxx

  12. Oh that is the cutest dress! My op shops suck compared to yours. I might have to recreate this. I'm thinking a navy stripe with a yellow contrast on top would be cute.
