Circles in my skirt, circles in my hair

Another week, another skirt that I finished ages ago and never posted. This time it's a circle skirt. I used a self-drafted pattern that I've made at least a dozen times already. What can I say? Circle skirts are so easy to sew, and I love the way they look.

It's made of waxed cotton. It's the same fabric I used for this dress. I have a bunch of it because it drapes really well (and it was cheap).

My hair looks kind of weird in the photos above because it has victory rolls in it. This is only the third time I've managed to do them (semi) successfully after an embarrassing amount of time spent trying.

I look evil but you can see the victory rolls

  2. I love your hair! It makes me want to grow mine out- then I remember that I am really lazy! I love that fabric too- I would have bought a ton.

  3. Ha, Bad Brodie! Actually, you don't look evil in the slightest, just serious and concentrating.
Great skirt, love the fabric. And your hair looks lovely. I am rubbish at hair, which is why mine always looks the same! xxxxxxx

  4. Weird coincidence, I'm wearing something I made ages ago and neglected to post! That skirt is fab, love the fabric and your hair is fabulous. I'm rubbish at doing hair to go out with but if I'm inside with no plans it works perfectly! x

  5. Gorgeous! I love both the wax cloth that you've used and how you've paired a brighter skirt with all black- very sophisticated!
I had a couple of dresses made with wax cloth while I was in west Africa last year and I love them
Well done on the victory rolls!

  10. Circle skirts are the BEST! So easy and adorable - love the colours too. Also your hair looks fabulous. I always struggle with fancy hairstyles, I even had it done professionally vintage before, it should have lasted 2 or 3 days but the curls all feel out overnight. I guess I'll just have to stick with stylishly messy! You did a great job with your curls :)
