Today, I wore Butterick 5032 to uni and my volunteer job. I had a pretty good day because I got an old Ralta portable hair dryer for free.
I love the case, it looks like a hat box.
I tried it when I got home and it still works.
I think it's from the 60s based on the hairstyles in the little booklet that came with it.
I just love all of the dresses you make! You always pick the prettest fabrics.
ReplyDeleteGreat Find!!! Who would of guessed that it would still work?!
ReplyDeleteYour dresses are amazing, you are so talented. I am enjoying reading your blog.
Fab fabric - I love the dress :)
ReplyDeleteI'm too scared to buy vintage appliances in case they explode when I plug them in! How exactly is it 'portable'? Does it run on batteries or something?
ReplyDeleteI love the print of this dress. I have a dryer just like that and I use it quite often. It actually works better than my newer one.
ReplyDeleteNice find! This dress is definitely one of my favourite.
ReplyDeleteCute dress, and what a great find with the hair dryer. Do you think you'll actually use it? I've always been tempted to try out one of those!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the dress! I don't think I've seen this before. I will have to check out that pattern!
ReplyDeleteMiss Emmi- No it doesn't run on batteries, I think they just put in the booklet it's portable because it's easy to carry around in the case.
ReplyDeleteTrisha- I think I will use it or at least try it out and see what it makes my hair look like. I am pretty lazy when it comes to my hair though so I can't see myself using it all that often.
Love the frock and jealous of the hair dryer & its case-how multi-functional!!
ReplyDeleteI love that dress! It is absolutely gorgeous. The simple shape really showcases the awesome fabric. And it looks great on you.
ReplyDeleteI still love love love this dress you made! It looks super cute with the light blue cardi!
