What? I'm not posing like that. |
Is this better? |
Shoes: Golden Ponies
Fishnets: Farmers
Sunglasses: The Yellow Brick Road
Bag: Ménage a Trois
Belt: Op shopped
This is why I usually take self-timer photos |
On my last post wardrobeexperience asked if I could show some more pictures of the hat that I op shopped.
I don't actually know which way around it's meant to go. I've been wearing it with the flower on the side because that's the way that it's most comfortable.
There's no tag on the inside so I don't know how to tell its age.
Ahh you look amazing, as usual. That bag is SO good - I often find woven bags like that too small but that one looks like the perfect size. Also those shoesssss. I think I need some for my new ~corporate ~office ~profesh job.
ReplyDeleteThanks Yeah, it is a good size and it's shaped like an egg which is awesome. Yes, they would be perfect for an office job, and the heel is really little so they're comfortable.
DeleteYou look lovely and I really do like your dress. I have the same problem when it comes to others taking my picture!
ReplyDeletexx
Thank you. Yeah, I never know what to do when someone else is taking my picture.
DeleteLoving your dress,and longer hair.
ReplyDeleteI was missing your posts so much.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Thanks. I think this is my perfect length for my hair. I will try and post more often.
Deletewhat a beautiful dress and love the hat!
ReplyDeleteThanks Franca!
DeleteI like those candid shots! You look amazing in that dress! Were you off out somewhere? Roses perfect backdrop! Inspired!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'd actually just been running some errands. Standing in front of the roses was mum's idea.
DeleteAdore that dress, you look wonderful!! And I love that hat too..so pretty. I think the flower goes to the back, just because it looks like one I've seen before - the shape. But, it's really one of those hats you can wear all kinds of ways and it can look nice. But, I think it's with the flower at the back, but just a guess :) Xxxx
ReplyDeleteThanks! Oh okay, I'll have to try it like that then. It's hard to know with some of these old hats how they're meant to be worn.
DeleteThat is a fab outfit- and the hat...oh!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, that hat is one of my best op shopping finds ever.
DeleteYou look fab, how lovey to see you giggling like that! Your Mum should take the photos more often. x
ReplyDeleteThanks. I usually take my own photos because I'm kind of embarrassed by the whole thing but I'll keep Mum in mind for next time.
DeleteYou look so glamorous in these photos, like a Hollywood starlet. X
ReplyDeleteThanks Louise! That's so sweet.
DeleteI agree with Louise Mc, Hollywood starlet! Wow, such a pretty dress! Do you have a convertible you can drive around in with your scarf protecting your curls! I am just imagining you doing this in your fabulous dress! So pretty x
ReplyDeleteThanks Dee! No, unfortunately my car is pretty far from a convertible but I'm sure if I had one I would swan around with a scarf on my head pretending I was Grace Kelly.
DeleteThe pix are fabuloarse, almost candid.I love them!
ReplyDeleteI also love that frock and the bag is divoon.I have only ever once been into Menage a trois.Odd place!
XXX
Thanks! There's some good stuff at Menage a trois if you have a dig around and the lady is really sweet.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous outfit....I do love the candid pics! The frock is so pretty & I love those sunglasses on you. Xx
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, I love the sunglasses too. Cats eyes are the best.
DeleteBeautiful! I love the frock and so nice to see you blogging again:)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, I've just been finishing off uni so haven't had much time for blogging.
Deletevery chic, lady! fun pictures too.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI think with hats, where you can see the seems joined together on the inside, that's the back. It's a lovely hat - really unusual. I love your mum induced poses - they're really natural and really funny. Love the dress and the giant sunnies xx
ReplyDeleteThe seam is where that bunchy bit of veiling is. I've been wearing that at the back so I was probably wearing it the right way around after all. Thanks.
DeleteHi, Thank you for your compliment on my dress over on Vix's blog :) That hat is divine! I've poked around a blog and see that you are quite an accomplised seamstress.
ReplyDeleteJo
You're welcome. Your dress is fabulous. Thanks, I'm an amateur but I try.
DeleteWhat a completely fabulous dress! You look gorgeous, I like your mum's pics of you. The hat is a beauty, whichever way round you wear it! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, it is a great hat. If I wear it around different ways it will be like having multiple hats in one.
DeleteJump in your jet and fly over to Kansas! I found a haul of hats in the flea market for $4.00 USD. Some of them have little veils, some little puffs of mink. I would buy a few for myself, but my head is freakishly large. C'mon! I'll buy the gas. We can have lunch and you'll be home by dark.
ReplyDeletewow! you look absolutely amazing! Vintage but still modern. Thanks for introducing me to the places where you found your pieces. They're gems and I bookmarked all of them!
ReplyDeletethank you so much for the close ups on the hat! i wasn't much around in blogland the last week. this head is a real treasure. miss simmons might be right: where the seems joined together on the inside, that's the back.
ReplyDeletethis dress is so great. i really love it.
Oh boy! That's a gorgeous outfit and the sunnies look super perfect! Thanks for the link too - Ruthie from The Yellow Brick Road xxx
