After my last post complaining about how expensive the op shops have become, here I am wearing one of my favourite op shopping finds ever; a 1950s/60s beaded, lambswool cardigan. I bought it about three years ago for $5. I found another one at the same time (they must have belonged to the same person) with black beading. Sadly, that one is too big for me, so I gave it to my mum.
Sunglasses: My grandma gave them to me.

You look gorgeous. Adore the bag, that is marvellous :) I loved shoes like that as a child..I had some. Kids at school made fun of them, but I didn't care because I thought they were awesome, haha :) Gorgeous dress doll. I hope your week is going well so far! x
ReplyDeleteThanks! You sound like you were an awesome and stylish kid.
DeleteEvery single piece you are wearing is a work of art, ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
ReplyDeleteMy dear friend, you are wonderfully inspiring.

Oh man, such a good cardigan! So envious! I have a few cute beaded 50s cardigans but none of them are as beautiful as this one. This whole outfit is so good it actually makes me want to put effort into the way I am dressing lately.
ReplyDeleteIt was a super lucky find. I wish I fitted the one I gave to my mum coz it's even more beautiful than my one.
DeleteSharpness!!!!
ReplyDeleteI remember regularly finding those gorgeous beaded cardis at jumble sales but these days the few I come across are full of moth holes! You look stunning, love everything you're wearing. xxx
ReplyDeleteYes, the ones I've seen in op shops recently have been super expensive and filled with moth holes too. Thanks!
DeleteGee wiz you put outfits together so well. Somehow you ooze style! I love it all but I'm particularly taken with your accessories. Xx
ReplyDeleteMy outfits are usually accidental, but thank you.
DeleteThat sweater is gorgeous! Still hoping I'll be able to find one in my size.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope you find one.
DeleteThe cardigan is really stunning - it was waiting for you, its rightful owner!
ReplyDeleteI think I need a vintage shopping trip to North Yorkshire, I didn't realise Haworth had a vintage shop - the dress is a beauty. xxx
Thanks! Yes, the vintage shop in Haworth has some good stuff. The Sue Ryder charity shop there was also good. That's where I got a bright red vinyl raincoat.
DeleteThat cardigan is so pretty. Cardigans have to be the most useful item of clothing, and if they are pretty like that, well it certainly helps. That bag has caught my eye too. So pretty. Xx
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, they are useful. I'm always on the look-out for cardigans while I'm op shopping.
DeleteI love the shape of the cardi, bit of a Matador theme going on there. It fits perfectly too. The skirt is also rather fabulous - ooh and I love the green bangles!
ReplyDeleteIf only I could find a beaded cardigan that would fit me.....what a wonderful thing to find 2. Your green bangles really bring out the colour of the skirt. Love it.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness sweet......beaded cardigans are so hard to find, the last one I bought at the Hospice in Chch cost me $25 and then I spent hours repairing it.....it's still not right.
ReplyDeleteI just love the fabric pattern of your skirt.
I remember that bag the colours are fabulous.
Love V
