A Rare Occurrence
This kind of outfit doesn't happen very often these days. I'm not wearing anything I made or anything vintage. Well, I guess the shoes are vintage. They're from the '70s. Is that considered vintage these days?
Striped top: Op shopped
Cardigan: Op shopped
Belt: Op shopped
Dress worn as skirt: Op shopped and given to me by Tua, my nephew's grandma
Shoes: Etsy
Ring: Evie Kemp
I wore this to register my car because my life is just that exciting. I also cut my hair, and by that I mean, I literally cut my own hair. I haven't been to a hairdresser in over a year. I think I made it a bit short but it'll grow pretty quickly and I have a large collection of hats, so it's not a big deal.

Your outfit still has a vintage feel - I love those shoes, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's why I love the skirt/dress because it looks vintage-y. Thanks.
DeleteIt may be a rare occurrence but you look fabulous in your non-vintage (apart from the shoes) and non-handmade outfit! I love the skirt, great print. And your hair looks lovely, I am off to the hairdressers tomorrow, I'd save a fortune if I could cut my own hair... xxxxx
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, I love the print too. The reason I cut my hair is pretty much because I don't like paying lots for haircuts. My hair is pretty forgiving, though, since it's curly.
DeleteAw man, your outfit is awesome. I'm actually not wearing anything vintage either today except an 80s dress, whoops. I need to up my game. Also your hair is AMAZING and I am jelly that you can actually cut yours by yourself. Also, you look tall. SO tall.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think '80s is counted as vintage now so you're safe. I think it's a lot easier to cut because it's curly so if it's not even the curls sort of cover it up. Ha, thanks. It's the shoes. They're really high. When I was waiting in line at the post office I was thinking about how strange it felt to be as tall as the other people in the queue since usually I'm looking up at everyone.
DeleteYou look gorgeous and I like the outfit lots!! xx
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern on the skirt/dress! The whole outfit is fab!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I love the pattern too.
DeleteLovely pattern-mixing, and the shoes are adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks you, Bex!
DeleteThis outfit is lovely and it's a good reason to celebrate it in this post even if you aren't wearing vintage or handmade clothes!I love the ring!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, the ring is great. I love that it's just a giant chunk of rock.
DeleteSo what if there's nothing vintage...you're totally working this outfit and it def has a vintage feel!
ReplyDeleteI always cut-well,trim-my own hair. And G's.Don't trust hairdressers!

I don't mind not wearing any vintage, it just made me think about how these days I'm usually wearing vintage or something I made. Yay, for cutting your own hair. I find it feels quite empowering, and I can never find a hairdresser that I like.
DeleteFantastic outfit, and that ring is beyond beautiful x
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes, the ring is awesome.
DeleteI love this outfit on you. That skirt really suits your figure and the green particularly complements your complexion. Nicely put together.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, wearing it made me think I should wear more green because I don't often.
Deletegreat outfit. i love everything about it.

Thanks!
DeleteI adore you hair and that outfit makes you look 6ft tall! I love the mix of patterns, it's so perfect. I reckon 70s is vintage since they happened before I was born, just.
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are fab, love to have a closer look at them! I always cut my own hair. x
